About Maharana Pratap (1540 -1597)
- He was a renowned Rajput warrior and the king of Mewar, Rajasthan.
- He was born in Kumbhalgarh Fort to Jaiwanta Bai and Udai Singh II.
- He refused to submit to the Mughals (during the reign of Akbar).
- This led to the Battle of Haldighati (1576), the Mughal army was under the command of Asaf Khan I and Man Singh.
